Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the Personal Care Balanced ScoreCard
Senior Care Business Advisors has adapted the Balanced Scorecard for Personal Care. The Balanced Scorecard was developed and published by Dr. Robert Kaplan and Dr. David Norton in 1992 and later published in the book “The Balanced Scorecard: Translating Strategy into Action” published by Harvard Business School Publications in 1996.
This very mature methodology adapts well into the Personal Care Agency by recognizing that the Organizational/Growth Perspective is really about looking at it from the Caregiver Perspective.
Some of the metrics we have represented here, such as Profitability, are quite standard and apply to any industry. Others, such as Lost Revenue, Consistency, Work/Life Balance and Punctuality are more relevant to service industries and specifically to the Personal Care/Home Care Industry.
