Being Practical: The Importance of being Paperless

Person typing on a laptop with a cup of coffee beside them. Indicates how important it is to be paperless in an agency.

As much as it pains me, as a writer, to title an article this way, if you give me a bit of leeway, this will make sense. With how fast paced the senior care industry has become, any areas where you can improve upon your efficiency will pay you back immense dividends in the long run. One of the largest sources of inefficiently spent time from an administrator’s perspective, comes from completing paperwork physically, and then having to head back to the office and at best scan it into your system, or at worst, having to manually type the information into your system.

This brings me to a related point, making sure that the software you are using to run your business is capable of integrating with solutions that allow your agency to be more efficient, and ideally paperless. If you haven’t already, your office will want to start looking into cloud storage options, whether its Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive. Using either of those cloud based storage solutions, will allow you to organize your files, and store them securely. One thing I’d like to remind you of, some information on your employees must be stored/kept separately according to various government regulations.
